7 Best Hotels for Your Money on the Las Vegas Strip

If you’re planning a trip to Las Vegas and looking for the best value hotels on the Strip, you’ve come to the right place. After numerous visits to Las Vegas and staying at almost every hotel on the Strip, I have a pretty good idea of where you can get the most bang for your buck. In this article, I will outline the top 7 hotels for your money, each offering unique features and advantages that will enhance your Vegas experience. Let’s dive in!

1. Delano

Located at the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip, adjacent to Mandalay Bay, Delano is a four-and-a-half-star hotel offering a great value compared to the neighboring five-star hotels. One of the reasons I love Delano is the spacious rooms it offers. Their basic rooms are over 700 square feet, which is larger than many other hotels’ one-bedroom suites on the Strip. With a corner layout, these rooms feel just like your regular room but with a slightly different layout.

I particularly enjoy the bathroom at Delano. It features a toilet, a well-lit mirror, double sinks, and a bathtub in addition to the shower. Considering the price is usually half that of a five-star hotel, and the rooms are equally as spacious, Delano is hard to beat in terms of value on the Las Vegas Strip.

Some people might not prefer the location of Delano as it is at the southern end of the Strip. However, if you can save $100 per night by not staying at a five-star hotel and can spend $10 per day on Uber to go wherever you want, it’s a great trade-off. Moreover, there are free tram options available from Mandalay Bay to Excalibur, and you can take a free tram from MGM Park to Bellagio. So, there are a few free transportation options to get you quickly to the heart of the Strip.

2. The Signature at MGM Grand

Technically located just off the Las Vegas Strip, right behind the MGM Grand, The Signature at MGM Grand is connected to the main hotel through indoor walkways. Similar to Delano, at The Signature, you can get a nice room at half the price of a five-star hotel in a four-and-a-half-star hotel. You won’t sacrifice much in terms of luxury, and you’ll also have a balcony and a small kitchenette.

Having a kitchen or a small kitchenette in Vegas has proven to be valuable for me personally. I dislike going out for a nice meal and ending up overeating, only to waste the leftovers because I don’t have a refrigerator in my room or a way to heat it up. So, having that small kitchenette is a great convenience. You can store your drinks, leftovers, and similar items, making your stay more comfortable.

Like Delano, The Signature is located at the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip. However, the monorail stops at MGM Grand, so it’s a convenient transportation option when you stay here and want to head north on the Strip. It’s not a free option, but you can purchase an unlimited pass that allows you to ride as many times as you want during your stay, whether it’s two days or a week.

3. Vdara

Vdara enjoys a prime location on the Las Vegas Strip. It’s right next to Bellagio, Cosmopolitan, and ARIA, sitting in the middle of the action. This four-and-a-half-star hotel offers spacious rooms with a small kitchenette and stunning views. It’s a huge discount compared to the neighboring five-star hotels like Cosmopolitan, ARIA, or Bellagio, where you can purchase it for half the price.

To give you an idea of how close you’ll be to everything when staying at Vdara, you have Bellagio, Cosmopolitan, and ARIA right there. You’ll be in the midst of all the action, which is the best location you can find. I love it!

Please note that I didn’t mention specific prices in this video since the costs of Las Vegas hotels can vary greatly from week to week. Discussing prices would only cause harm since what’s applicable today may be different tomorrow or next week. It’s also worth noting that all the hotels on this list, apart from the room rate, also charge resort fees.

The first three hotels on this list are all owned by MGM Resorts, and they just changed up their reward program, so if you’re a Gold or above member, you’ll get your resort fees waived. That’s a way for you to bypass those resort fees.

4. Bally’s

Bally’s is my choice for a great value hotel located in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip. It is part of the Caesars family of hotels, and if you are a Caesars Diamond member, you’ll get your resort fees waived as well. If you’re looking for a prime location at an affordable price, Bally’s is a solid option.

As a bonus, Bally’s is a budget-friendly hotel that offers larger rooms compared to other budget hotels. So, that’s also a feature worth considering. If you’re planning to book at Bally’s, I recommend paying a little extra to get a renovated room. I believe it will significantly enhance your experience.

5. Flamingo

Flamingo, like Bally’s, is another older hotel and offers a great central location on the Las Vegas Strip. It’s not the height of luxury, but if you’re looking for a budget hotel with a prime location, Flamingo or Bally’s might be your choices.

As with Bally’s, since this is an older hotel, I recommend paying a small upgrade fee to get a recently remodeled room. Many times, in these older Las Vegas Strip hotels, you can get a huge suite for a fairly reasonable price. Just like I was looking for on this trip, at one of them, whether it’s Flamingo, Bally’s, or Harrah’s, I could get a room of around 1,500 square feet for about $100 per night. So, if you want to splurge a little but don’t want to spend all the extra cash, this can be a great option.

By the way, I got the idea for this video from the Yellow Productions channel. He made a video about the best value hotels in Las Vegas, and his list is entirely different from mine. So, if you want another perspective, you can check out his video.

6. LINQ

If you’re looking for an affordable hotel with a fantastic location, LINQ might be your choice. LINQ is an old hotel but recently underwent an expensive renovation. So, you don’t have to worry about booking a remodeled room or similar things. However, it’s worth noting that the rooms are small. If you don’t plan on spending much time in the room and just want a place to stay in a great location on the Strip, it can be a good fit. It’s essentially a no-frills place to stay for someone who wants a good location on the Strip.

Despite the small rooms, I still like LINQ because it’s close to many things. You have LINQ Promenade right here, where a lot of people go to watch shows, and there’s a bunch of affordable restaurants like In-N-Out. If I were looking for cheap accommodations in Vegas, this would definitely be a consideration for me.

7. Harrah’s

Harrah’s is conveniently located in the north end of the Las Vegas Strip, making it another solid option for those seeking a prime location at an affordable rate. Just like Flamingo in relation to Bally’s, Harrah’s is also an older hotel. If you’re willing to stay here, I recommend paying a small upgrade fee to get a room that has been recently renovated. It will greatly enhance your experience.

Harrah’s has also recently undergone expensive renovations, but unlike LINQ, I don’t believe they renovated all the rooms. One issue I encountered during my stay there was slow housekeeping, and I would say that was the only problem I experienced. However, I still enjoyed my time there, and I think it offers great value for your money.

Concluding Remarks

After watching this comprehensive guide to the best value hotels on the Las Vegas Strip, I hope you now have a better idea of where to book on your next Vegas trip. Whether you’re seeking spacious rooms, convenient locations, or deals compared to neighboring five-star hotels, the options outlined in this article provide excellent value. Remember, always consider upgrades and renovations offered by the hotels for an even better experience. Enjoy your trip and have a fantastic time in Las Vegas!
